The SME100 Awards 2021 is one of Malaysia’s most recognised business award programmes, celebrating small and medium enterprises (SMEs) that have demonstrated outstanding growth, resilience, and business performance in a challenging economic environment. Organised by Business Media International (BMI) in collaboration with the Small and Medium Enterprises Association of Malaysia (SAMENTA), the programme highlights companies that continue to excel despite economic uncertainties.
Beyond Malaysia, the SME100 programme is also organised in several ASEAN countries, including Singapore, Vietnam, and Indonesia, reinforcing its position as a recognised regional business platform. Over the years, it has become a benchmark for identifying businesses that demonstrate strong performance, sustainable growth, and resilience within their respective industries.
For the 2021 edition, more than 700 companies participated in the selection process for the SME100 Fast Moving Companies of 2021. From this pool, only 126 companies were selected as winners. The programme is known for its rigorous evaluation process, which includes both qualitative and quantitative assessments, as well as mandatory interviews for all nominees. Companies are evaluated based on key criteria such as growth, profitability, market share, best practices, sustainability, and long-term vision.
The SME100 Awards also serves as a benchmark of trust and reliability within the business community. The programme recognises organisations that have demonstrated strength, resilience, and growth despite challenging economic conditions, while providing recognition across a wide range of industries.
Among the companies recognised in the SME100 Awards 2021 was Lien Yeu Glasstech (M) Sdn Bhd under the Construction, Property & Building Materials category. This recognition places the company among the 126 winners selected from more than 700 participating companies during the 2021 evaluation process.
